Three Ladies
"Obviously I didn't land and walk about the Three Ladies but I did view them from a distance. They are truly magnificent. I daresay I wouldn't mind my last act being to explore those islands. Right before my head explodes, or my heart is torn from my chest, or whatever other manner of fell fate befalls those who thumb their nose at tradition." - from the memoirs of Lewin Von Treet, Vault: the Land of Stuff and Things
Description
These three small island located south of Stormberth are as much a part of the legend and folklore of the Arrowhead isles as any pirate story or Tabaxi tale, and then some. These island are deemed sacred to all who call Arrowheads home, and it is forbidden to set foot on the islands on pain of death.
The legend goes that toward the end of the Constellation War, when all seemed lost, three goddesses, Avera, Pennfold, and Visuvius, each stood upon the ocean and joined their power together. One could not find three gods more unalike than those three, and that disparity was the key to their power.
The islands that now exist rose up in the wake of their great power, but as to why they joined forces, no one knows. But it's considered awful luck to wonder after it, considering goddesses have their own reasons and keep their own council. Most claim they can still feel the currents of power emanating from the Three Ladies as they sail past. And some say, on a clear day, you can see the glinting of something bright shining on each of their peaks.
