Brother Moor, Winslow, Varsmak, Ricco, and Gideon arrived back at the Enochian Tower six months after first being told they had been chosen by a man named Enoch, calling himself the Watcher, as gods of a new world

• Upon coming back to the tower, they were treated to feasts and at long last sat down to hear why they had been summoned so long after first receiving the Dragon Stones from Enoch

• Enoch explained his role as the Watcher entailed responsibilities he'd taken a very long time in fulfilling -- perhaps too long. Those responsibilities were finding the right mix of people to create a new world by walking through a place called White Gate while holding the dragon stones

• He also claimed that he was in the process of dying, but even that would be okay if it weren't for the fact that something, some spell, person, item, or natural phenomenon, was blocking the divine energies he'd come to rely on to lead him to White Gate. Essentially, his time was running out and the way to White Gate was being blocked

Enoch asked the group to confer with his friend Babbitt Galloway in Topside, an expert in divine energies, to figure out what could be causing the block. Once done, the group could walk through White Gate and fulfill their destinies as new gods of creation

The group agreed and left the next morning, though they noticed Enoch's guard and steward, Sharrok, acting strangely, spouting the phrase, "May the eye of the blade protect you," a saying used by followers of Doomblade to wish ill will on others

Leaving well enough alone, the group traversed the jungled of the Arrowhead Isles, meeting a young Tabaxi boy who claimed he came from a place called The Eggs That Must Hatch, and spoke only Draconic

• The boy demanded gold to clear the way of "Egg Snatchers" for the group, and upon paying him, the group found him true to his word, discovering a dinosaur-like animal lying dead along their path

Avoiding a clearing of smashed eggs where more of the lizards roamed, the group arrived in Stormberth with hopes of finding someone willing to take them to Topside to find Babbitt.
