Gaping Maw of Sound #33

The Gaping Maw of Sound fought back the rot and monsters from the pool beneath Havyn's cottage, allowing only of the monstrosities to submerge itself in the waters.

• Afterwards, Mr. Smith and Kit stepped into the pool. The rest of the party saw their bodies simultaneously kneel into a praying posture, and their handled steepled together in front of them. Kit and Mr. Smith, however, were mentally taken to a moonlit grove of trees, where a woman in silver and blue flowing robes gave them a blessing.

• The two awoke from their vision and were non the worse for wear. The group realized they'd entered the pool just as the full moon was directly overhead the hole above the pool. Others who wished to visit the moon lady were disappointed.

The group ascended to confront Havyn, and they poured some of the pool's water on her, curing her of the rot infection. 

• Havyn, now fully in control, offered her home for the night, but began frantically getting ready to leave in the morning.

During the night, Oby tried again to dispel the magic on Kit's box, and was finally successful.

• Within the group found a long cylindrical telescoping metal bar. As they attempted to reveal its purpose, Mr. Smith became his alter ego, Ser Balen, and grabbed the part from Kit.

  • Inside his head, Ser Balen heard the voice of his master say "Good. Only a few parts to go."
