Tough As Dirt #38

Tough as Dirt said goodbye the Star and Scale and journeyed back to the Elisar Woods and traveled the Woad Road all the way across the forest to the eastern side, near the Halfway There Inn.

They made their way to Griffon's Gulf and found the Gateway Clipper moored exactly where they'd left it, though a new small boat was tied to the netting.

Aboard the ship they found Sarzava, the dragonborn who had originally owned the ship back in the Arrowhead Isle when it was called the Poisoned Arrow.

• Sarzava claimed he'd been tracking them for months but had only just caught up with them. He had poisoned the remaining members of Tough as Dirt aboard the ship in an effort to convince the crew to allow him to join.

Tough as Dirt interrogated him and discovered he was sincere in his desire to join their crew, if not a complete idiot for antagonizing everyone he wished to befriend. 

• Lucia was able to cure the crew of the poison, and upon agreeing to allow Sarzava to stay, the dragonborn gave them a remedy which allowed them to throw up a cursed rock which would reapply the poison daily.

With that sorted, the group decided to make their way back towards Othrund in an effort to find Winslow's sister, and then cross the Gossamer Sea to Sophivitas to find Gideon's sisters.

However, as they passed south of the Phantom Plains, Gideon felt a pull to the Plains, likely due to the remaining divine energy from Wizzler's entrapment there.

Gideon and Babbitt worked on a device on the voyage to allow Winslow's Lunar Flower to bloom safely, but upon use, the flower closed up and turned red with spots.

• Winslow spoke with the flower and discovered it wanted to go home, which the party realized meant the Moon Lands in the Kindred Isle. So they decided to make a quick stop before continuing on towards Galdarion Forest.
