The Students interrogated Silas while keeping him in a headlock during which he disclosed the truth, after being threatened with being burned aliveĀ if he continued lying.
Silas claimed he found the crown in a temple and that it was indeed the thing that was keeping the blight of Tomolin at bay.
While Silas convinced the group that he'd done nothing deserving of immolation, he offered up a man in Topside who did deserve such an end, and the group agreed to accompany Silas to find this person.
Returning to Tomolin, Brynn distributed the Rotleaf to the town and the farmers and druids of the village planted it to grow, and spread it upon their blighted farms.
While investigating one of the patches of blighted darkness, the group discovered a massive demonic hand buried beneath the soil, which Otho identified as a piece of the body of Abominate, a demigod of Bane.
Otho felt the urge to succumb to hatred upon touching the hand, but managed to stave it off with the help of Val.
The Students feasted with the people of Tomolin that evening in celebration of the curing of the blight, and Brynn's mother, Lynn, expressed how proud she was of her daughter, and how she hoped she would go and help others off in the world.
The next morning, the group bid farewell to Tomolin and ventured through Sinner's jungle on their way to Topside.
Along the way, Val identified the crown as the Kindred Crown, which had the power to influence Kindred when worn by one of their own, and also could remove curses in an area correlated to the power of the person wearing it, even to the ends of the earth.
Ridley also spent time delving Silas's knowledge of Highcroft history, specifically around Dragonfall, and the two became fast friends.
Upon arriving in Topside, the group began their search for Silas's person in need of burning: Lord Marquis Duke Baron King.
