The Yellow Five Session #13

Love, Light, and Art

  • The day of the gallery came with Igon getting his clockwork busts of the city's elite on display

  • Jihyo approached Jim and after a heartfelt conversation about how neither of them have been especially truthful to each other, they promised to try to make a relationship work despite their flaws

  • Sir Willaim was stopped and accused of taking the name and armor of the Uncle of one Sir Eddrich. After a duel of honor, Sir William bested Sir Eddrich, but the truth about William's false identity had been revealed

    • Skywing Renn Krayte took William aside and learned his name was actually Sam. He knighted Sam in the light of John Gold as Sir Sam of the Golden Light.

  • The gallery reveal came as Igon turned the clockwork busts of the city's elite into demonic visages in a statement that shocked those in attendance.

  • However the Word had a shock of their own as they revealed their painting was mocking Igon and trying to embarrass him for approaching The Word at a party. It did not land with the intended effect, however, due to the nature of Igon's own statement.

  • As the crowd argued and The Word attempted to leave, Haiwan Lain appeared with the painting the Yellow Five were originally hired to steal, though he seemed to be touched by the painting in some way, unwilling to give it up

  • Wisp felt an overpowering urge to reach out to the painting and understood this was the reason they were in Trine. They were created as a failed vessel but they were still touched by some otherworldly entity - and whatever was within that painting was akin to that entity.

    • Wisp battled back against their innate purpose, leaning on having found a new purpose, but the denial of their legacy slowly killed them

  • The group found a way to destroy the painting before Wisp released what was within or allowed themselves to die to keep it in

  • The Word was hit with a Dissonant Whisper during the battle, causing their mind to crumble

  • Additionally, to get the painting away from Haiwan, Igon hit him with a blast that sent him tumbling over the edge of the balcony and to his death.

  • However, with the painting gone, the entity within foiled, and Wisp still alive, the group counted their blessings, and took a well earned rest.
