Druvigan made contact with a Relic Hunter named Middalah Devir who helped locate the Speaker in Serenity Shores, a woman by the name of Margo Thorton

• Margo's father, Reeves Thorton, begged Druvigan to put an end to his daughter's affliction, but Middalah dismissed the offer of an alliance from the Listeners, preferring to work alone

• The riddle spoken by Margo:
  Lost but there for all to see
  A remnant hung atop the tree
  Can be obtained but not for free
  Where treasures go to die

Druvigan was given supplies by the Thortons and a crab mount named Mortimer, who was very quick over sand but less so over land, and he went to catch up with his group in the Stand

Meanwhile the rest of the group evaded Vainya's chase only to fall victim to the volley of fire from the walls of Serenity Shores

Druvigan showed up in enough time to restore health to the group but Drakadog soon had to shield them from another volley, falling in a crater within the Stand

• Druvigan also brought Drakadog back to his feet and the group fled, but not before Vainya caught up with Raithe

  • Though she couldn't catch him, she screamed about her ruined life and vowed her hatred

The group ran far from the walls across the Stand, and before resting for the night, discussed what to do next

• Hukbi also gave the group coins from his kobold clan in the Scaleback Mountains, a sign of trust, and told them they could get help with them if they ever traveled there

The decisions was made to send Drakadog, who Hukbi named Gork, into Ephemeraldion Jungle and return to Serenity Shores, as the relic they sought was likely within the city

• Gork left after howling his distress and sadness, leaving the group to their work
