Bogul's Bruisers Session #36
A Deal's a Deal
03/23/2024
Standing in front of the encases god of creation, each of the Bruisers thought back on a previous time in their lives
Jezria recalled a discussion with an acolyte in the Church of the Sacred Flame named Flavana who wanted to start a division of the church in her hometown of Caim, and received Jezria's blessing
Hannah recalled being visited by a woman named Quincy Quinn in the offices of the Gossamer Gazette in Trine, where Quincy tried to bribe her while apparently having trouble with something on her chest.Â
Samoht thought back on a discussion with his brother as they stached magic weapons for the fight against the Dread Lord, and Deraj mentioned he was concerned the Voice was manipulating the people of Vault
Bogul thought back on a discussion with Effi in Crooked Post in which she assured him she never tried to awaken the vampire beneath her shop, and Bogul gave her the amulet they found on that vampire, inscribed with the letters D and B.
Back in the Phantom Plains, the group was warned against realeasing Wizzler by Visuvius, who claimed that he was frozen during the height of his power, and releasing him would be releasing a god of creation with full power back into the world. With that, she left, deciding not to be around should they succeed.
Through use of an Anti-Magic field, a Dispel, and the Quaker Hammer, the group was able to free Wizzler, who immediately caught himself up on all that had happened since he'd been trapped.
Wizzler made a deal with the group to bring the Dread Lord Azalin to them in a setting of their own choosing, as long as they agreed to address his most pressing concern: killing Effi in Crooked Post
The group figured out in that moment that the being asleep beneath Effi's book shop was Doomblade, and Effi was running the risk of waking him up, due to her love for him
The group negotiated Wizzler into a contract where they had 1 week after the fight with Azalin to woo Effi so that she would hand over the amulet Bogul had given her and she would never again have interest in the "vampire" beneath her shop. If that failed, they would have to do the unthinkable to their friend.
With the contract signed, the group was teleported out of the Phantom Plains and into the Halfway There Inn, the site of their fight with the Dread Lord the next day at noon.
