Star & Scale #29
Little Scale
11/16/2024
Confronted by Nefaria yet again, Star and Scale found themselves too battered and exhausted to take on the likes of Omnia and her crew, so they had to watch as Omnia took the bones of Kilkenny from Lithua'wan and then snapped the neck of the drow guide
Omnia also delved the mind of Zeb and looked into his thoughts on his quest from the Drakewardens, informing him that the Spectral Lily that was a part of his quest was within his grasp, and he need not fear plucking it due to its rarity.
She also called Zebedee "Little Scale," a name only used by Jorgon, the Kobold Groundskeeper at Eden's monastary as children
Nefaria explained that this was not the time nor the place for their fight, and refused to explain what they wanted with the ancient Drakewarden's bones. They retreated from the Ruins of Caern, promising to see Star and Scale in Caim with the King.
Star and Scale burned Lithua'wan's body and made their way to Arik's Pass in order to gain access to the Scaleback Mountains and King Cadogan's father, the angel sitting somewhere in its peaks.
Along the way, Ezekiel revealed the name of his sacrificed son, Ejay, and claimed Eden reminded him of his son.
The group stopped off at a small town at the base of Arik's Pass called Small Stone, where they rested and took part in a town gathering where Eden managed to chip off a part of the Twisted Stone, an iconic pillar at the center of town.
Fully rested, the group ventured onward and found a group of desecraters cutting up and hauling off parts of Arik's fallen armor from the pass.
The group dispatched the thieves and their mining machinery, and cornered their guide, a firbolg named Belladonna, who Ezekiel immediately became infatuated with.
The group asked her where they could find the angel, and upon Zeb's description, she identified the tallest peak in the Scalebacks, Vyelga
Star and Scale set out to Vyelga with Belladonna as their guide.
