That Good Dirt

  • The group entered into Stormberth and were greeted by Leah Moonglow, a woman who acted as a sort of leader for those who lived in Stormberth and followed the teachings of the famous Namondwe

  • While the group was offered clouds on which they could rest, they were generally put off by Leah and instead found Tuggie Swain, a gruff old dwarven reseacher involved in measuring the tides in the seas around the Arrowhead Isles

  • The group contracted a ship out of Stormberth with Tuggie and also got enough on his good side to be invited into his research study

    • There, the group was able to use their history of learning and research to uncover a truth even Tuggie had missed: the Siren's Suckhole was creating an ebbing and flowing tide that had a pattern equivalent to the breathing of a living thing

  • The group attended a ceremony that evening in which the people of Stormberth gathered around Chifunga Lake and welcomed home a demigod that had been imprisoned elswhere for a long time

    • This shark divinity known as Uqupa immediately sighted the group and brought them to him for a special council under the watchful gaze of Namondwe

      • During this council, Leah attempted to insert herself into the group, claiming she brought them all there that night -- Uqupa planned to end her life for insolence but Brother Moor stepped in to save her, assuring Uqupa she had done well to bring them there

  • Uqupa claimed the Sahaguin of the nearby jungle had abandoned him as their god and stolen one of his Oars, an oar he very badly wanted returned

    • He told the group that if they brought back his oar, they would be rewarded with a favor

  • The group agreed to set out the next morning

    • Before doing so, Leah brought them a delicious bearkfast she hand prepared as a thankyou, and assured them she'd return the favor of her life

  • The group ventured into the jungle and found the Sahaguin at a nearby waterful in some manner of religious ceremony in which they were annointing a new "god" with the very oar they sought

  • The group made ready to engage the Sahaguin to retrieve Uqupa's oar.
