Wild Bunch #22
The Cries of the Cookie
03/27/2024
The Wild Bunch regrouped outside the estate of Lord Marquid Duke Baron King, and with all their ill-gotten gains in tow, made their way back to the Basement in order to stop the delivery of the cookie person and dragon soul.
They arrived in time to see all the auction's cargo getting loaded up and taken away by two dock workers named Barkley and Mr. Smeedly.
After round of deception, persuasion, and negotiation, the group was able to chase down the cart containing the cookie person and soul, but upon touching the soul, Nickelgin was overcome with the soul's aggression and desire for destruction.
While the group made a break for it with the frightened cookie person from Nectarous Woods and the soul, they accidentally burned the rest of the cargo getting loaded up. Mr. Smeedly ran for help and Barkley's fate remained uncertain as they fled.
Winnifred got rid of one of the cart drivers, and a complication, by sending them to Frusning with his teleportation device.
On the streets of Topside, they convened to decide what to do next when Nickelgin, compelled by the dragon soul, began to eat the cookie person.
The screams of the cookie woke up nearby homes, and the group had to leave the cookie behind, running back to their ship, the Floating Pot, in the docks
Arriving, they set sail and drifted out into Barnacle Bay, attempting to be as quiet as possible to escape with the limbs for Jemiah.
They anchored near a small, uninhabitated island between Topside and Broken Compass, and while the rest of the crew went ashore to setup for Jemiah's surgery, Nickelgin discovered his stilted lover from the auction, Equaline, had stowed away and found a moment alone with him.
