The Belligerents #7

The Belligerents snuck back in to Serenity Shores by impersonating the Golden Guard and bribing the gate security, and made their way to a smithing shop named The Cutting Edge back the shore

• They questioned the flamboyant and showey smith within named Whinney Kander with the riddle heard from Margo a couple days prior

• Whinney couldnt solve it but told the group if they were looking for a place where people put lost treasures, they could try the Palm and Pewter

Heading to the antique shop, where the wealthy could buy and sell expensive heirlooms, the group used Mortimer as evidence they were on the Thorton payroll, and were allowed entry

• They went to the very top floor where the weapons were being held, and noticed a dark spot high up in the ceiling

• They climbed up and grabbed a pitchfork which read highly magical to Raithe

Paying for the pitchfork on the Thorton account, as well as putting an extra 50 gold on it for traveling money, they returned to Thorton Manor only to find the people inside slaughtered down to the last person

With the Golden Guard approaching the mansion from the front, they ran out the back, seeing that Middalah Devir was following them, assumedly the person who had committed the horrific crimes within

With nowhere to go, they heard a voice calling to them through a portal which magically appeared in the garden, and decided to go through rather than face Middalah and the Golden Guard
