The Belligerents #25 and #26

• The Belligerents began their investigation into the disappearance of Vainya by getting Gork from the enclosure Arakis had built to ensure the safety of the creatures from Ephemeraldion. They also set Saoirsa, the captain of Chataway's Charm, on the task of convincing everyone the amalgamations from the Arrowhead Isles had nothing to do with the deaths.

• Gork lead the way following Vainya's scent to a warehouse near the bulkhead of the Underhull city, where the group found an arcane sigil made with blood that was setup to explode in a chain reaction should another sigil be set off. They decided to find the first sigil

• Worried Lexxia may have setup the sigils in an extortion attempt to get Dahlia, they made their way back to the Gravy Trained, which was following behind the Chataway's Charm, but found both girls still locked up safely in their room.

  • On the way, however, they saw another sigil on the exterior hull of the Gravy Trained, and with the help of Patty and Carmello, cut it off the ship and kept it trailing behind in case they needed it later.

• Back on the Chataway's Charm, they brought Lily and Dahlia to find Lexxia, and ended up finding the body of the ship's librarian

  • After asking the deceased some questions, they made their way to the library to find Lexxia had setup shop within, and her vampire thralls were tearing the place apart, looking for something.

  • It also soon became apparent that Vainya had been tranformed by Lexxia, not into a thrall, but into a full-fledged vampire, though she remained unconscious at the time of the Belligerents arrival.

• The group entered, fought off the thralls, but when Bao confronted Lexxia, he was unable to incapacitate her in time, and she ignited the first sigil, causing the chain reaction throughout the ship to go off, creating massive explosions throughout the city.

• The Belligerent forged through the fire, explosions, and smoke to find a way out while Flapjack confronted and injured Lexxia, and ended her quickly with a radiant smite.

• The group found their way out but the ship was lost. The interior of the ship, which was magically enchanted to be city sized, imploded on itself, and Chataway's Charm sank to the bottom of the Farewave Ocean

• Bao ensured the survival of the group by creating space on a small boat, and the group, along with Gork, Lily, Dahlia, Vainya, and Arakis, were able to row their way back to the Gravy Trained

• The group saved as many people as they could, but had to leave hundreds of people in the water as they sailed off toward the Kindred Isle.
