Wild Bunch #32
How Do Thumbs Get Bloody?
02/19/2025
The Wild Bunch kept the Hareplane out of sight of Queen's Meet and hiked their way to the city, seeing a procession of Queen's Meet soldiers escorting an injured individual from the Scorching Cliffs
Arriving in Queen's Meet, the group tracked down an old Academy instructor of Nickelgin's, Deveron tun Leveron. The old teacher was tending his garden when the group arrived and invited them in to chat about their mission.
Nickelgin asked for advice or a spell that could help them fight against Doxx and the power of Equaline's commanding voice. While many options were discussed, a couple strategies bubbled to the top:
Deveron's next door neighbor, Chrissi, an exprert in world religions, recommended severing Equaline's power to Tambor by either disrupting the connection or killing Tambor.
Deveron told the group about an expert student of his, Alistar, who had been working on dozens of new and unique spells, and one of them might be helpful.
The group decided to track down Alistar, and Deveron said he'd inform the city leadership about the likelihood of Doxx showing up to recruit people from Queen's Meet.
Showing up at Alistar's home, the group found the young prodigy had recently been assassinated by a group called the Blood Thumb, the same group Nickelgin worked with in the past during dark times.
The former leader of the Blood Thumb, a orc woman named Leena, was there but explained she had arrived too late to warn Alistar, and was trying to disrupt Blood Thumb operations after having lost leadership to a woman named Lumina.
The group looked for Alistar's spells, but the safe in which they'd been stored had been ransacked. The group decided to attack the Blood Thumb head on by having Leena lead them to the HQ of the group of criminals and killers beneath the city in the sewers.
