Wild Bunch #15
All Love Lost
08/01/2023
The Wild Bunch decided to stealthily check out the docks after escaping the apparent assassination attempt on the streets of Trine
On their way, they found Jemiah, who had been sent by Executor Javalane to find the dead bodies of the Wild Bunch and plant Dawn Chaser armor on their corpses.
Very happy to find his friends still alive, Jemiah confessed to being confused and upset, but still resolved to follow orders as an avid Dawn Chaser. But it soon became apparent that the friendship of the Wild Bunch had made an impact on him, and he decided to confront Javalane to get some answers.
Back at the ship, Jemiah entered the captain's cabin and it soon exploded, Jemiah using his newfound powers from his mechanical limbs and Javalane using his holy radiance to rain spears of light down upon him.
It was obvious a fight among an army of Dawn Chasers was not ideal, so the group escaped and sailed off on the ship they were originally going to use to get to Cypress on a Dawn Chaser mission.
Once free from danger, Jemiah calmed himself from a massive panic attack and explained Javalane was working on orders to start a war with the Tidal Giuard in order to justify an invasion of Cypress. They never planned to enter the city peacefully, but rather were planning on making the Tidal Guard look like aggressors to a peaceful Dawn Chaser force.
Back at Trine, the group saw Tidal Guard Quetzal forces flying around the city and engaging in combat with Dawn Chaser forces. It seemed the planted deaths planned by the Dawn Chasers happened around Trine, and had mostly worked
The Wild BUnch decided to carry a warning to Cypress, but when they arrived, it seemed ther Tidal Guard was already preparing for war.
Commander Renn Krayte of the Tidal Guard welcomed them and asked that they fight in defense of the city and defense of two young girls the Dawn Chasers came to kill. The Wild Bunch decided they needed to see these girls before committing to their defense.
They made their way to a ship named the Gateway Clipper and found the two teenage girls defended by an old dwarven sailor and one of the most powerful Relic Hunters in Vault, a man named Harvest.
Jemiah argued with the girls, the Daughters of Eve, about how their necromancy made them inherently evil, and they had a retort for each and every one of his points, until at long last, Jemiah agreed that their deaths were not justified. The group decided to prepare for war against the Dawn Chasers.
