Mr. Smith, Obie, Kaos, Neya, and Kit left Queen's Meet on their way to Othrund to meet with Jackal Cull, a speaker in need of protection

Along the road, they met with a woman named Justis, who first presented herself as a simple traveler but Neya intimidated her into admitting she was deserting the Queen's Meet militia in order to join a group known as the Dawn Chasers, a group no one knew much of anything about

The group decided to allow Justis to travel with them as she was planning on joining up with the Dawn Chasers in Wayward

Neya and Justis had a quick sparring match to test her skill in which Justis became enraged at being embarrassed, and struck a nice blow on Neya

After a few days of travel, the group came upon a Queen's Meet patrol, and hid Justis from sight

The group came together to play the captain's favorite tune from his childhood, My Fare Wave Upon the Ocean Blue, which went surprisingly well, earning them coin and the captain's good graces

Later that day, they came upon the body of a griffon the patrol had slain and found a baby griffon alongside it

Before they could approach, however, they were set upon by a group of wolves
