• Deciding to hide Goldcrest, the group went to a shop called the "Stitch and Knit" to buy a nice sweater from an old man in a rocking chair

• The Students traveled to the Seafoam Lodge after a night of rest and met up with Val's father Warryn, who also was the person who used to fix Goldcrest

  • Warryn, while overjoyed to see his daughter, was horrified she was traveling with Goldcrest, who he claimed was extremely dangerous and was built by none other than Igon, a leader in the Saffron Society.

  • He eventually concluded Goldcrest had changed somehow, and that the warforged was not at maximum fighting capacity anyway

• The group learned Val's brother, Zook, had not checked in for a few days with the family, which was very unlike him

• After grabbing some supplies, they headed to Zook's office at the Gossamer Gazette and met with Hannah the Half-Halfling, the editor in charge of Zook's assignments

• Hannah informed them Zook had been investigating the Saffron Society for trafficking arcane artifacts from beneath the city, and had gone to the Effervescent, a bath house in the city

• The group made their way to the bath house to find bodies inside when peeking through the windows. They entered the Effervescent to find Zook.
