Before leaving Venture Ridge, Elowyn had another dream about Gift, but instead of seeing through his eyes, she now was in a liminal grey space with the automaton

• The two spoke of how Gift lamented how things happened in Venture Ridge, and how he missed Eden and Zeb. But he felt that no longer valued him since his discovery of what he truly wanted out of life.

• He also entreated Elowyn to consider a world with no gods, and if it would truly be such a bad thing.

Garrick worked with Seed on understanding his abilities, talking about how "disintegration" was something Seed seemingly didn't know how to control.

Seed had explored during the night and found the cave where Tough as Dirt had killed all the Dawn Chasers outside Venture Ridge. The group went there and found Druvigan had survived, though his body was twisted and broken.

• The group healed Druvigan and recruited him into the Harrowguard, giving him a coin and putting him in charge of preparing Venture Ridge for the arrival of Mythranthar and the others.

Star and Scale made their way to Roost in an effort to find griffons to fly to Othrund on, but found every encountered griffon to be incredibly hostile.

Additionally, they found no sight nor sound of the kobolds who had traditionally been seen in and around Roost, and Zeb's attempt to diguise himself as a kobold was met with additional hostility.

After fighting through the courtyard of the tower, the group found red shards embedded in the ground and one of the griffons. They dispatched all the griffons attacking them outside, and made their way to the entrance to the tower itself.
